Description: Independent, comprehensive, coed. Awards bachelor's and master's degrees. Founded 1883. Setting: 105-acre urban campus with easy access to New York City. Endowment: $9 million. Costs Per Year: Application fee: $50. Comprehensive fee: $31,400 includes full-time tuition ($23,900) and college room and board ($7500). Part-time tuition: $2650 per course.

Collegiate Environment: Orientation program. Drama-theater group, choral group, student-run newspaper, radio station.
