Barce, Ramón, Spanish composer and music critic; b. Madrid, March 16, 1928. He studied languages at the Univ. of Madrid but was mainly autodidact in music; then was active with new music groups and as a music critic. He composed theater, orch., chamber, and vocal pieces in a modern idiom.
