Writer. Correspondent and reporter for newspapers in New York and New Jersey, 1931-38; legislative researcher in Albany, NY, 1938-41; Elizabeth Daily Journal, Elizabeth, NJ, staff writer, 1941-50; Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY, began as instructor, became professor of sociology, English, and journalism, 1950-86, professor emeritus, 1986—, adjunct professor, 1986-97, chair of sociology department, 1967-68, 1979. New Jersey Commission on Mental Deficiency, member, 1950-55.
