National Institute of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide competitive scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Focus: Biomedical research; Behavioral sciences; Social sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be US citizens, nationals, or qualified noncitizens; must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time students for the current academic year at an accredited, 4-year undergraduate institution; must be from a disadvantaged background (disadvantage background means that the financial aid office has certified student as having “exceptional financial need”); and must have a 3.5 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale) or be within the top 5 percent of their class. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee’s criteria.
