NIAF Scholarships - General Category I (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To financially support the education of Italian American students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited institution of higher education for the fall; must have a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or the equivalent); must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident alien; and must be an Italian American student who demonstrates outstanding potential and high academic achievements. Criteria: Awards are given based on academic performance, field of study, career objectives, and the potential, commitment, and abilities applicants have demonstrated that would enable them to make significant contributions to their chosen field of study.

Funds Avail.: $2,500-$10,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit completed student application and Teacher Evaluation Form online, official school transcript and FAFSA Financial Aid Form (optional), submitted by mail. Deadline: March 7.

NIAF Scholarships - General Category II (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote the study of Italian American studies or a related field. Focus: Italian studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled in an U.S. accredited institution of higher education for the fall; must have a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or the equivalent); must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident alien; and must be from any ethnic background majoring or minoring in Italian language, Italian studies, Italian American studies or a related field who demonstrate outstanding potential and high academic achievements. Criteria: Awards are given based on academic performance, field of study, career objectives, and the potential, commitment, and abilities applicants have demonstrated that would enable them to make significant contributions to their chosen field of study.
