pyrimethamine (pi-ri-meth-ă-meen) n. a drug administered by mouth in combination with the sulphonamide sulfadoxine (as Fansidar) for the treatment of falciparum malaria. It is also used, in combination with sulfadiazine, in the treatment of toxoplasmosis. Trade name: Daraprim.
